Corporate travel agent Clarity secures Air France-KLM GDS deal

Travel management company Clarity has secured a deal with Air France-KLM enabling its customers to avoid paying the airlines’ distribution content surcharge on fares.

The Manchester-based TMC has worked with its GDS providers and the airlines to continue to provide fares without the surcharge from April 1.

Portman Travel Group-owned Clarity is the UK’s eighth biggest TMC with a turnover of £430 million and more than 500 staff at offices in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.

Chief executive Pat McDonagh said: “We’re delighted to have reached agreement with Air France-KLM.

“This deal means we’ll be able to continue to offer our clients the best value and content when booking with Clarity.

“Our agreement forms part of a wider commitment to work with airlines to develop New Distribution Capability (NDC) connectivity which will enhance the booking and traveller experience.

“We combine our personal service with leading-edge technology to ensure our customers benefit from the advances that are being made in the industry, whilst ensuring they continue to get great value for money.”
