Rocky Mountaineer appoints EMEA business development manager

Canadian tourist train Rocky Mountaineer has hired Steven Harris as business development manager for EMEA and India.

Harris joins Rocky Mountaineer from MSC Cruises, where he worked for the past 10 years in roles including most recently as national account manager.

Rocky Mountaineer said his appointment was based on his work transforming trade relationships for and growing the business of MSC Cruises.

Harris was previously a regional sales and development manager for Thomas Cook and managed a MyTravel retail stores in the Midlands.

Patrick Ryan, managing director, sales EMEA and India at Rocky Mountaineer, said: “With over 25 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Steven will bring extensive and invaluable expertise to the team at Rocky Mountaineer by leveraging his existing trade relationships in the cruise, tour operator and wholesales channels to expand our reach across the region.”

Harris is to join Rocky Mountaineer on May 1, 2018.
