ClubHotel Riu Chiclana reopens after €25 million investment

Riu has reopened its ClubHotel Riu Chiclana property in Spain after a €25 million renovation.

The hotel now offers 24-hour all-inclusive service, inclusive WiFi throughout the hotel, has a new Italian restaurant and a new children’s area.

All its public areas, bars, restaurants, gardens, swimming pools, guest rooms and bathrooms have been renovated with new décor and furniture.

The renovation project is part of RIU’s strategic plan to reposition its hotel offer, with a “special emphasis” on its hotels in Spain. All its hotels in Andalusia have been completely renovated since 2013.

The 832-room ClubHotel Riu Chiclana property opened in 2001 and since the renovation now features five bars, including ‘Lounge 24’, a new space with 24-hour service, ‘Bulería’, the poolside bar ‘Calima’, La Plaza and the swim-up ‘Liquid Bar’.

The pool and garden area has been completely redesigned to now offer five swimming pools with a new rectangular design, two of which are heated.

The RiuLand kids’ club will now offer an outdoor play area as well as a covered one with slides, mazes and a ball pool. A new ‘Splash Park’ has also been added alongside a RIU4U club for teens, the RiuArt centre for artistic activities, the RiuFit centre for sports and a new gym.

The hotel has a spa area, athletic courts and parking.
