Fred Olsen Cruise Lines launches TV ad campaign

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is to launch its second national television advertising campaign to run from February to May.

The £425,000 campaign promotes all five ships in its fleet, and their worldwide destinations.

The 40-second commercial will be appearing on both terrestrial and satellite channels including ITV1 (Meridian and Central regions), ITV3, Channel 4, More 4, Hallmark, TCM, Alibi, UKTV Gold, Dave, UK Hits, and Setanta.

The theme of the campaign is the friendly, home from home feel aboard Fred Olsen ships backed with the sountrack from the 1960's Dusty Springfield song: 'I only want to be with you'.

Marketing manager Mike Bird said: "We have planned this campaign to focus on a traditionally busy booking period of the year, and the channels have been selected with our target audience in mind - namely the active over 50's, who make up the majority of our customers.

"Dusty Springfield's song 'I only want to be with you' also sums up the feelings of many of our loyal passengers who travel with Fred Olsen over and over again."
