First Choice appoints Love Island’s Chris and Kem as ‘braggage handlers’

All-inclusive specialist First Choice have recruited Love Island stars Chris and Kem to show people how to brag about their holidays on social media.

The pair – First Choice’s new ‘Braggage handlers’ – have been brought in to counter holiday bragging bores who overshare mundane images of their holidays.

First Choice said over 50% of Brits get annoyed by their friends’ ‘shallow brags’ on social media, with one in five deleting, hiding or unfollowing friends who have bragged with a boring holiday ‘boast post’.

However, it added 80% of Brits admit to falling into the same trap sharing dull holiday photos, posting posey ‘hot dog legs’ or mimicking friends’ rather than coming up with original ideas.

Chris and Kem have been hired “to encourage Brits to break their bad bragging habits by posting shots of new experiences and what they actually love, rather than conforming to the norm”, said First Choice.

Speaking as they were officially appointed to their roles at London Gatwick Airport, Kem said:

“It’s not about shouting your mouth off or just posting the same pictures as everyone else.  I don’t want to see another picture of a Caesar salad on Instagram.

“You can brag in a way that won’t annoy people; me and Chris do it all the time.  Now we can show others how to become pros.”

Jeremy Ellis, marketing and customer experience director at First Choice, said:

“Given how much we love social media, it’s really interesting to hear British holiday makers are challenged when it comes to creating imaginative posts.

“Chris and Kem are the perfect pair to inspire people to get the absolute mahoosive most from a jam packed All Inclusive holiday, embrace new things, and become the masters of their holidays.

“We want our guests to feel like royalty and give them experiences with ultimate bragging rights.  And who better to show them how to exercise those rights than our new recruits?”

To mark their new roles the Love Island stars were taken on a luxury all-inclusive holiday to Mexico where they will be tasked to “get Britain bragging”.
