Azamara Club Cruises names new head of marketing and PR

Azamara Club Cruises has appointed Sarah Fowler as head of marketing and PR.

Fowler joins from adventure travel tour operator Explore Worldwide where she has worked since 2015.

She fills the role vacated by Karen Sequeira in November 2017.

Fowler will head up a team of 12 across digital, PR, partnerships, trade sales and customer relationship management at the head office of Azamara UK, which is part of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd and based in Weybridge, Surrey.

Previously Fowler held roles with Merlin Entertainments, where she spearheaded the launch of a new website; animal welfare charity Compassion in World Farming; and theatre and film production company Bill Kenwright Ltd.

Richard Twynam, Azamara’s managing director for UK and Ireland, said Fowler’s appointment came at “an incredibly exciting time” for the line ahead of the launch in August of Azamara Pursuit following its refitting.

He said: “Sarah brings with her a superb track record of success in destination marketing from her role with Explore, alongside digital expertise.”
