Royal Caribbean reveals 2019 ex-UK sailings

Royal Caribbean International has released details of its 2019 ex-UK sailings for Independence of the Seas and Explorer of the Seas.

Both ships will operate 17 European itineraries out of Southampton from May 2019.

Independence of the Seas, which has recently undergone a multimillion-pound makeover, will feature new family facilities including trampoline experience Sky Pad; Splashaway Bay, an interactive water park; and glow‑in-the-dark Laser Tag arena.

Prices for the 14-night Italian Mediterranean sailing on Independence, departing on June 15, 2019, start at £1,148. Ports of call include Gibraltar, Florence, Rome (Civitavecchia), Cagliari and Cadiz.

The lead-in price for Independence’s seven-night Northern European Cityscapes sailing, departing on May 18, 2019, is £651. Ports of call include Hamburg, Oslo and Bruges.

Explorer of the Seas will call at Stockholm for the first time on sailings in July and August 2019.

The lead-in price for its 14-night Scandinavia & Russia sailing, which includes a stop at Stockholm, departing on July 7, 2019, is £1,197. Ports of call also include Oslo, Copenhagen, Tallinn, 
St Petersburg and Helsinki.

The Voyager-class vessel will also visit Olden in Norway for the first time in three years on its Norwegian Fjords sailings, departing on May 31, 2019. Prices start at £847.

Explorer will succeed Navigator of the Seas, which is sailing out of Southampton this year.

Royal’s 2019 ex-UK programme went on sale yesterday.
