Turkish low-cost carrier Pegasus takes delivery of first A320neo

Turkish low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines has taken delivery of the first of seven new generation Airbus A320neos set to enter service this year.

The aircraft is the first of a 100-strong order from the European manufacturer and brings the airline’s fleet up to 75.

The Pegasus fleet now has an average age of 5.7 years with a mix of Boeing 737s and Airbus A320s.

Chief executive Mehmet Nane said: “One of our key priorities is to improve the guest experience. To this end, we devise solutions encompassing every part of the business, from ground handling to operations, marketing to the technical aspects, that will make our guests’ lives easier and improve their travelling experience.

“As a step towards this goal, we have just taken delivery of the 75th addition to our fleet, an A320neo aircraft.

“We are delighted to be able to offer our guests a much-improved travel experience with our new aircraft. We will continue to expand and modernise our fleet.”
