Andy Travis has joined JTA as head of leisure sales.
Travis left Funway, where he was national sales manager and worked for more than seven years, at the end of September last year.
He previously worked for companies including The Holiday Team, Youtravel.com, Medhotels.com and Monarch Travel Group.
In his new role Travis will be working with all JTA’s travel agent partners and consortia and will oversee the company’s national trade sales team.
Managing director Wayne Darrock said: “We are delighted to have Andy join our management team. His sales and commercial experience will compliment and assist our current team during this period of considerable growth. Andy will further enhance our long standing commitment and support to trade partners.”
Travis said: “I am delighted to have joined JTA Travel at a time of expansion, with our new cruise website recently launched and new produts being brought to market imminently.
“We see some very exciting times ahead to develop our business, strengthen our relationshipos and support our trade partners.”
JTA enjoyed a fifth successive year of record sales and profits in 2017 and introduced a dedicated US programme and new worldwide cruise brochure.
