Emirates extends New Zealand reach with daily flights from Dubai

Emirates is extending its reach to New Zealand by adding daily flights from Dubai to Auckland via Bali.

The new service from June 14 will give the carrier three daily connections to New Zealand.

The airline currently runs a non-stop daily service between Dubai and Auckland and a daily Airbus A380 service between Dubai and Christchurch via Sydney.

The Dubai-Bali-Auckland connection will be the only year-round non-stop daily service between Auckland and the Indonesian holiday island, giving passengers a stop over option.

The airline will deploy a three-class Boeing 777-300ER on the route.

As a result, three daily services between Dubai and Denpasar in Bali will operate as part of the summer schedule until October 28 as the new flight adds to Emirates’ two existing daily connections operated by Boeing 777 300ERs in a two-class configuration.

Emirates Airline president Sir Tim Clark said: “We’re pleased to introduce additional capacity to serve the strong demand for travel to Bali, and to Auckland.

“We are confident that our year-round service between Auckland and Bali will be well received by our customers, not only in New Zealand and Indonesia, but also from our global network particularly from markets like the UK, Europe and the Middle East.”
