Premier Holidays records rise in January bookings

Premier Holidays has seen a 16% rise in bookings this January compared to 2017.

The peak season has seen increases in demand for long-haul destinations such as Thailand, South African, the USA and Canada, the operator said.

Premier Holidays also said bookings to some faraway destinations have doubled compared to last year.

Debbie Goffin, sales and marketing director at Premier Holidays, said: “We’ve seen a significant increase in Thailand and USA bookings for 2018 which is really encouraging.

“South Africa is also performing extremely well, which could be due to the publicity surrounding the centenary of Nelson Mandela’s birth. The trend for complex multi-centre itineraries looks to continue this year, which is something all these destinations share.

“We’re attributing our success to strong marketing campaigns for these destinations, increased peaks incentives for agents and the launch of dedicated Offers of the Day especially for agents promoted daily on social media.”
