The Travel Adventure founder comes out of retirement to join Greatdays

Former sales director at The Travel Adventure – now renamed COGO – has returned to the industry at Greatdays Travel Group.

Jayne Kerr joins as one of the firm’s sales managers responsible for managing private groups.

Kerr, who established Brighton-based The Travel Adventure in 1993 with husband Ian, retired in 2016 to spend time with family and travelling.

However, a conversation with long-time friend, Paul Beaumont, executive director with Greatdays, has seen her return in a sales role.

She will be supporting Greatdays as part of an expanded sales team in developing new relationships with selected group travel organisers.

Beaumont said: “Over the last ten years we’ve been steadily growing the number of group travel organiser clients. Jayne’s experience and enthusiasm for group travel, combined with her knowledge of the group travel organiser sector will help us to increase this important element of the business.”

Kerr added: “I’ve known Paul for many years and, much like my old company, I do like working in a family-run business. I simply couldn’t work in a large corporate company where GTOs are just numbers.

“The opportunity to work with Paul was simply too good an opportunity to pass by. When I retired I had built up a huge following of group travel organisers. In this new role I’m looking forward to renewing relationships with many of them.”
