Newmarket launches ‘gold rush’ agent promotion

Newmarket Holidays has put 50 prize-winning gold coins randomly in its new 2018 and 2019 Holidays & Tours Collection brochure.

The operator’s ‘gold rush’ agent incentive allows agents who receive a brochure with a gold coin inside to win a range of prizes, from £500 off a Newmarket holiday to £20 Love2Shop vouchers.

There is one top prize of £500 off, one prize of £250 off, two fam trip places on a fam to India and 46 Love2Shop vouchers of £20 each available.

To redeem a prize, agents must post a picture of themselves with the coin to Nic Newmarket on Facebook and quote their winning code by January 31.

The incentive is a reinvention of its popular peak season campaigns of the last two years in which golden and platinum tickets have been inserted in new brochures.

Agency sales head Richard Forde said: “Travel agency sales are more important than ever at Newmarket, and in addition to repeating the promotion, we’ve also strengthened the team still further, with Stuart Cowell joining us to cover East Anglia, the South East and Northern Ireland, and Jessica Barbosa to bolster internal agency sales support. “

To encourage early bookings, the new brochure includes savings of up to £100 per person on air inclusive holidays. Selected departures on bookings made before February 14 offer savings of up to £50 off European holidays and £100 for further afield, including India, Canada and the US.

Low deposits of £79 are also available for bookings made by March 31.
