Fire-hit hotel remains closed as investigations continue

Luxury Cameron House Hotel will remain closed while investigations into a fatal fire continue.

Simon Midgley and Richard Dyson, on a winter break from London, died in the blaze at the hotel on Loch Lomond which broke out the early hours of Monday morning.

An updated statement on the hotel’s website said: “Following the extensive fire within the main build of the hotel on Monday, Cameron House Hotel, the Leisure Club and the food and beverage areas within the main hotel are closed.

“We would kindly ask all our guests and customers to bear with us as we work closely with the fire service and Police Scotland to establish the extent of the damage and ascertain when we will be able to re-open.

“We will update this page as soon as we have further information.”
