Luxury Gold adds six destinations in expanded 2018 programme

Luxury Gold has introduced six destinations and nine itineraries for 2018.

Luxury Gold, owned by The Travel Corporation which also operates Insight Vacations, is also offering agents who make a booking from its 2018 Worldwide Luxury Escorted Journeys programme the chance to win a Gold iPhone 8.

The brochure features the new destinations of Japan; Costa Rica; South Africa; Montenegro; Croatia and Scandinavia.

Its nine additional itineraries, four of which are in new destinations, are: British Royale; French Vogue; French Impressions; Inspiring New Zealand; Indulgence in Costa Rica; Spectacular South Africa; Captivating Croatia and Montenegro and Timeless Scandinavia.

The 11-day Majestic Japan trip offers travel on the luxury bullet train between cities and rural areas as well as a VIP performance by a samurai warrior in front of Aoba Castle; the chance to meet a survivor of the 1945 Hiroshima atomic bomb; and take part in a private sushi-making class in Tokyo. The trip starts at £5,558, with departures from April 2018.

Also new in the brochure are a series of Chairman’s Collection departures, put together by Stanley Tollman, chairman of parent company The Travel Corporation. These include lunch with an Italian count at his Tuscan villa; a drinks reception at Artstetten Castle with Princess Anita von Hohenberg, a direct descendent of archduke Franz Ferdinand; and dinner with a French Count at Paris’ oldest café.

To celebrate the programme’s launch agents who make a booking between November 2 and December 15, 2017, will automatically be entered into a draw to win a Gold finish iPhone 8. The winner will be announced on December 16.

Discounts of 10% per person are available for bookings made and paid in full before November 30, 2017, for north and south America itineraries and by January 26, 2018, for all other trips.
