‘Best and worst’ UK airports for car parking revealed

Heathrow, East Midlands and Cardiff are among the airports in the country that offer the worst parking for holidaymakers, according to new research.

Vouchercloud tallied more than 40,000 reviews to find out the best and worst parking providers in the UK, ranking 19 airports in the process.

The five worst airports, based on reviews taken from GoSimply.com’s airport parking reviews, were Heathrow, East Midlands, Cardiff, Bristol and Luton.

Leeds Bradford topped the rankings with an average review of 91.75 out of 100 with Glasgow, Prestwick, Newcastle and Gatwick making up the top five.

Chris Johnson, Vouchercloud’s head of operations, said: “Despite the reviews in general being fairly positive, the nature of the data suggests that those towards the bottom of the table are seeing close to twice as many complaints as the best performers.

“That’s a significant jump in quality from one airport to another, but bear in mind that you do get what you pay for.

“Even the worst performing airports still had positively reviewed providers as an alternative.”
