Funway appoints product manager in new role following jobs shake-up

Funway has appointed Amy Shine in the newly-created role of product manager following a series of job changes at the tour operator.

Her appointment follows the recent recruitment of Former Thomas Cook head of trade partnerships Audrey Brooks-Wiggins as head of sales and four other staff into newly created roles across the business, including Sam Robinson as marketing manager, Christian Brett as marketing executive, and Ayo Akinsala as operations executive.

Two employees have also left the business. National sales manager Andy Travis has departed after more than seven years to pursue new opportunities and business development manager for Scotland, the north east, Yorkshire and Northern Ireland Amy Drummond has taken a job with AMResorts, which has a partnership with Funway.

Shine started this week and reports into commercial director Erica Collins.

She most recently worked for Secret Escapes to develop its long-haul portfolio and previously worked for Cosmos and Your Golf Travel, heading up the group’s international product and commercial teams.

In her new role, she will oversee the product and operations teams with a focus on streamlining internal processes and identifying product gaps and launching tactical campaigns.

She said: “Joining Funway Holidays is allowing me the opportunity to further expand on my long-standing passion for North America and the Caribbean, and I am excited at the development opportunities.”
