Flybe discounts Scottish fares for grounded Ryanair passengers

Flybe is discounting Scottish fares by almost a third to help passengers left grounded by Ryanair’s winter flight cancellations.

The regional airline is making the 30% limited time discount “specifically to help those who have been left in the lurch following recent announcements of route cancellations between London Stansted and Scotland”.

The offer is open to anyone showing proof of a cancelled Ryanair booking to or from Stansted and Edinburgh or Glasgow airports, and for travel between October 29 and March 24, 2018.

Bookings must be made by October 15 and apply to routes to Edinburgh from London City airport and Heathrow; Glasgow from Southend and Edinburgh and Glasgow from Birmingham and East Midlands.

Ryanair revealed on Wednesday that 34 routes were being suspended from November for the winter including services from Stansted to Edinburgh and Glasgow and Gatwick to Belfast.
