Insight Vacations adds eight discovery trips in Europe for 2018

Insight Vacations has added eight discovery trips to its redesigned 2018 European Premium Escorted Journeys brochure.

The programme includes details of new dining experiences Dine-At-Home and Farm-to-Table meals, now offered across the programme, and parent company The Travel Corporation’s new partnership with VizEat, which offers clients the chance to dine with locals.

The eight new European Discovery Journeys range from nine to 19 days, with 12 itineraries to 12 countries. They are: the nine-day Taste of Europe; nine-day Flavours of Europe; 10-day European Rhapsody; 11-day European Flair; 14-day Splendid Europe; 16-day European Discovery; 18-day Mediterranean Journey and the 12-day European Dream.

The 12-day European Dream, which leads in at £2,655, offers a trip from La Serenissima to Paris, with two nights in each destination. Experiences include learning about the art of glass blowing; a hands-on Etruscan cooking demonstration; a guided visit to the house of Italian Renaissance author NIcolo Machiavelli, where he wrote The Prince; and a trip by funicular railway and open-top cable car to the summit of Mount Stanserhorn to meet a Swiss Ranger to learn about the local wildlife.

The brochure features 100 holidays in total under four different journey styles. The Dine-At-Home dining experience to eat with local foodies and the Farm-to-Table meals, which include regional produce, are both included in Insight trips. VizEat is being offered primarily as an optional excursion to eat with locals, including trained chefs, and share a meal with other like-minded travellers who are not on their Insight trip.

The brochure also places more emphasis on the ‘Insight difference’ – how the tour operator differentiates itself from other competitors in the sector.

There is a 10% early payment discount for bookings made and paid before January 26
