CMV to offer world’s ‘first vegan cruise’

Cruise and Maritime Voyages claims to be offering the world’s first ocean cruise for vegans.

The meat free sailing departs to the Norwegian Fjords from London Tilbury on September 25.

The seven-night voyage by the ship Columbus being run in association with Vegan Travel.

The menu on board will be 100% vegan and will also cater for those seeking raw food, are gluten free or have macrobiotic diets.
Four guest speakers will give talks on vegan and healthy lifestyles while a wellness programme includes yoga and pilates.

CMV said: “In association with Vegan Travel, we are delighted to be offering, what we believe is, the first ever ocean cruise for vegans.

“This is the perfect opportunity to travel with like-minded people and enjoy the stunning scenery of the Norwegian Fjords.
“Columbus is the perfect ship for this scenic cruise combining spacious surroundings and friendly service with stylish entertainment and leisure facilities.”

Prices lead in at £499 per person in an inside cabin with children from £289.
