Liverpool Airport completes latest phase of terminal improvement works

The next £2 million phase of improvement work at Liverpool John Lennon airport is planned for the autumn and winter

This follows completion of a £3 million project to improve facilities for departing passengers with new shops, bars and restaurants and the upgrade of 2,000 square metres of the upper floor of the departure lounge.

Dixons and Accessorize have opened new stores offering goods at tax free prices, along with a premium Cabin Bar with views across of the runway, a new Ritazza coffee shop and a Beer House.

Other improvements include new washroom facilities, large flight information screens, plus new seating and lighting.

Commercial director Lucy O’Shaughnessy said: “Previous investments in a number of passenger facilities at the airport have seen our customer satisfaction levels reach an all-time high.

“We believe these latest improvements have created a real ‘wow factor’ for passengers as we welcome them into the departure lounge, building on existing positive passenger feedback and further enhancing the customer experience.”
