Flybe announces 2018 summer schedule

Flybe has announced its 2018 summer schedule including new and extended routes.

The regional airline will have 157 routes on sale between March 25 and June 17 next year.

Its new schedule includes the announcement of its first flight between Leeds Bradford and Dusseldorf and an increase on the Southampton to Malaga route, which will now run four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Cardiff to Belfast City will increase from daily to twice a day, Birmingham to Hamburg will operate up to six times a week, Birmingham to Amsterdam will fly seven times a day and services to Heathrow will now depart three times a day from Aberdeen and four times a day from Edinburgh.

The additions mean Flybe will have up to 2,959 flights a week on its network, with seats from £24.99 one-way.

Chief executive Christine Ourmieres-Widener said: “We have listened to our customers’ feedback and know that many like to plan their travel far in advance. So we have worked hard to put our 2018 Summer schedule on sale that much sooner this year to allow our customers the opportunity to plan their next summer travel early.

“Our new schedule also highlights Flybe’s ongoing commitment to making possible unparalleled connectivity from regional airports to destinations across the UK, Europe and beyond.”
