Warning of flight delays in Italy due to airport workers’ strike

A warning of flight disruption in Italy has been issued ahead of a strike by airport workers tomorrow (Wednesday).

EasyJet published the alert saying that flights could face delays.

The budget airline said: “We’d like to make you aware that some unions that represent airport staff in Italy are planning to take industrial action on Wednesday 26th July.

“We plan to operate our full flying programme to and from Italy on Wednesday. However, there is the potential of delays on the day due to the industrial action.

“Please be assured that we‘re working closely with the airport authorities to minimise any impact this may have to our flights and customers.”

Passengers are being advised to check the airline’s website for the most up to date information about flights, particularly before travelling to the airport.
