New Cruise Circle staff are part of wider growth plans

Derbyshire-based agency Cruise Circle has recruited a former Norwegian Cruise Line business development manager as it eyes expansion.

Mark Godden has joined the Bolsover-based business as product development manager. He will develop new cruise holidays for the brand as it combines cruise with rail journeys and land tours.

Jason Daniels, owner of the online agent, said he planned to grow its luxury and river cruise sales and was also considering recruiting homeworking staff.

Daniels said: “Mark was our account manager for Norwegian and the best one we ever had.

“When the opportunity materialised for him to join our team we jumped at the chance.

“This is the first step for us in our plans for expansion in the next year. We hope to increase our sales team by three or four in the next few months.”

As well as Godden, the company has employed Chris Postle as web product manager. Postle worked for web development company CWT Digital, which managed Cruise Circle’s online presence.

Daniels said: “Both Mark and Chris bring a wealth of skills and experience in their respective fields – they have the assets we need to launch our products.”

Daniels and his wife Danielle Nemeth bought the company in 2009. He said the business had seen “double-digit” growth in the past two years and was Freedom Travel Group’s number-one cruise agent.

Daniels said: “Cruise Circle has an exciting future ahead of it and I urge cruise lines and travel professionals to get in touch if they would like to be a part of our success.”
