The number of leisure visits to Jersey rose by 19% to 78,600 in the first four months of the year.
The provisional estimate covers those staying at least one night on the island.
However, overall arrivals in the period fell by 6% to 137,700 year-on-year.
While a trend of good growth in overnight holiday visits continued, day trips and other types of overnight visits saw year-on-year declines, according to official Visit Jersey figures.
On average, visits to Jersey during the January to April period lasted four nights.
Nearly three-in-five visits (59%) were made by holiday visitors, 15% were visiting for business and 18% to spend time with friends and relatives.
Most visitors (74%) were UK residents, making this Jersey’s largest source market.
One-in-eight visitors were from France during the first four months of the year while 7% were residents of Guernsey.
For April alone, there was an estimated 58,300 visits to Jersey, generating almost 240,000 visitor nights on the island.
