Clia Conference 2017: Cruise360 event to focus on destination

Clia’s inaugural travel agent event, Cruise 360 will focus on destinations with its theme of ‘Discover Together’.

The conference will be held in Copenhagen on September 9-11 and feature sessions on the importance of destination knowledge in sales and reviews of major destinations.

Andy Harmer, senior vice president for membership and director for Clia UK and Ireland, said: “We are thrilled to welcome our keynote speakers to the first ever Cruise360 Europe to share their insight into the importance of enriching destination experiences.

“With the opportunity to explore Copenhagen as a destination itself, two cruise line ship visits, training and speaker sessions, we look forward to welcoming our agent partners for the inaugural Cruise360 Europe which promises to be a fantastic event.”

Agents will hear from destination experts including Robin West, the expedition team leader for Seabourn, and Peter Kollar, head of international training and development at Clia, during sessions on board Princess Cruises’ Regal Princess and Norwegian’s Norwegian Getaway.

Speakers will include Stuart Leven, vice president EMEA and managing director RCL Cruises Ltd and chair of CLIA UK & Ireland; and Kyriakos Anastassiadis, chief executive of Celestyal Cruises and chair of CLIA Europe.  Details of other speakers will be revealed closer to the event.

The main programme starts on September 9 however an optional ship visit on-board Regent Seven Seas Explorer is available on September 8 for agents arriving in Copenhagen the day before.
