Clia Conference 2017: Agents urged to share first experiences in #dosomethingnew campaign

Clia is encouraging agents to share their ‘first time’ cruise experiences on social media as part of its ‘Do Something New’ campaign to be held throughout June.

Agent members of the association can use the #dosomethingnew on Twitter plus a picture of their first ship visit or holiday to ‘spread the word’ of cruise as a different kind of holiday to make memories on.

Andy Harmer, senior vice president for membership and director for Clia UK and Ireland, said: “June is the perfect time of year for agents to share their incredible first hand experiences in order to showcase some of the amazing experiences on offer, and we are encouraging everyone to get involved by sharing their memories using #dosomethingnew.

“It’s also a great opportunity for agents to ‘Do Something New’ themselves. We are here to help cut through the latest news, terminology and trends in order to help travel agents grow the cruise side of their business.”

By tweeting the hashtag agents enter themselves in with a chance of winning a host of prizes throughout June.

For those not on Twitter travel agents can simply email brightideas@cruising.org to be entered into the competition.
