Royal Caribbean appoints new key account manager

Melanie Wood has been hired as a new key account manager for Royal Caribbean International.

She joins the line’s UK and Ireland sales team after six years’ experience in the travel industry, most recently as part of the product management team at Cruise 1st.

She previously was a sales specialist at Cruise 1st and Cruise 118.

Sharp said: ‘’Melanie demonstrates a real passion for the cruise industry and we’re excited to welcome her onboard.

“Having previously worked for one of our key accounts, Melanie brings a unique perspective to the Royal Caribbean sales team, helping us develop our team into the industry’s best.’’

Wood added: ‘’I was initially drawn to the cruise industry through a family member’s fond memories of working as a performer onboard and this was something I also wanted to be part of.

“I have always been impressed by Royal Caribbean’s creative innovation, spectacular ships and extraordinary experiences both off and onboard and I look forward to welcoming new generations of cruise fans in years to come.’’
