Moving observation tower Brighton i360 has named Steve Bax as new executive director.
He moves from English Heritage to replace Eleanor Harris, who stepped down in December but remains on the board of directors.
Bax takes up the role on July 3 at the attraction which opened on Brighton beach last August.
He said: “I am thrilled to be joining this innovative and record-holding attraction.
“I am also excited about becoming part of the city’s business community and working with other attractions and businesses to promote Brighton and all it has to offer.”
Bax added: “I look forward to seeing British Airways i360 play its part in ensuring Brighton remains one of Britain’s top seaside destinations.”
British Airways i360 chairman David Marks said: “Steve is highly respected among the UK tourism industry and his wealth of experience makes him the ideal person to take British Airways i360 to new heights.”
