Greek ferry workers will stage a 24-hour strike in May

Ferries across Greece will be at a standstill due to a 24-hour strike on May Day (Monday).

The walkout has been called by the Panhellenic Seamen’s Federation.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office warned: “The PNO has announced a 24 hour strike on 1 May and all passenger ferries across Greece will remain docked in ports from midnight on 30 April until midnight on 1 May.

“If you intend to travel on a passenger ferry on 1 May, you should contact your ferry company or travel agent for advice.”
