An interactive online training portal for agents called The Academy is being introduced by Inghams.
The aim is to enable agents to build on their knowledge of the operator’s ski and lakes and mountains programmes through video and interactive courses, separated into modules.
In the lead-up to Wednesday’s launch, 25,000 branded tea bags were sent out to 5,000 agents, alongside a guide on how to use The Academy, encouraging them to sit, have a cup of tea and learn with Inghams.
Courses on Inghams’ Italy programmed are due to being added later this spring.
Agents who complete a minimum of three modules over the next six months will be entered into a monthly prize draw.
Prizes include holidays to Austria and Lake Garda, £200 worth of Love to Shop vouchers, an ipad, British Airways flights and a £150 experience day voucher.
Modules are bite-sized, each taking approximately four – six minutes to complete, according to the operator.
Head of sales, Simon McIntyre, said: “We’re delighted to launch The Academy, it’s more proof of our investment and commitment to our travel agent partners and the importance of our agents to our overall business success.”
“Our ski modules cover the basics of the ski holiday and what to expect from a potential ski customer. We know that many agents don’t have first-hand experience in ski and these learning modules aim to equip them as much as possible to talk confidently about the product and our programmes. Our summer modules cover the vast number of destinations we offer along with what guests can expect on a holiday with Inghams.
The content will be continuously updated to keep agents best informed and their knowledge refreshed. Another important element is that agents can keep track of their progress and learning achievements and can even be in with a chance of winning one of our many fantastic prizes as they work their way through the modules.”
Agents can also watch video tutorials on the history of the company, the Inghams team and the company’s USPs.
To register, agents can click here and enter their Inghams agent password.
