A trip for two to Phuket is among prizes on offer in a trade campaign by AccorHotels to boost meeting and event bookings.
UK agents and meeting planners are being targeted in the ‘Star Wins’ promotions designed to coincide with the release of the latest Star Wars film.
Agents and planners can achieve ‘stars’ for each meeting or event booked to win experiences each month, including tickets to see the film, weekend breaks and virtual reality glasses.
The hotel group’s sales team will dress as Star Wars characters to visit more than 150 key meeting and event booking agents to promote the campaign.
UK and Ireland director of meetings, events and leisure, Dana Lewis, said: “Every year the team pick a new campaign theme. The forthcoming launch of the latest Star Wars film as well as a fantastic new Star Wars exhibition in London gave us a fun and exciting way of interacting with clients.
“The campaign also enables us to promote our brands and hopefully drive awareness, build relationships and of course win more business.
“Our campaigns allow us to build great relationships in the run up to our grand finale in December where we announce the winner of the holiday to Phuket.
“Between now and then, the team have a variety of events taking place around the country including pop-up cinema evenings and our own London launch night at the brand new Novotel Canary Wharf, which takes place on April 6 at their spectacular 39th floor bar Bokan.”
