Peter Hilton resigns as chief executive of Holiday Taxis

Holiday Taxis has announced its chief executive has resigned with immediate effect to take time out to travel and work on new projects.

Peter Hilton, who was made chief executive in 2010, will remain as a shareholder.

He said: “Growing the business from the leading UK supplier into a truly global business has been tremendously rewarding for me.

“The company still has a long way to go and I feel now is the right time to hand it over to the excellent executive team.

“Having been involved with the business since its inception in 2002, I am looking forward to taking some time out and travelling to destinations I haven’t had time to visit during my Holiday Taxis tenure”.

In Novemeber 2014 Holiday Taxis launched global brand Connxxe  that offers bespoke white label partnership to travel firms looking to grow ground transportation revenues.

Brendan Breslin, chairman of Holiday Taxis Group, thanked Hilton for his efforts in developing the company and wished him every success in his future.

Sir Colin Chandler will take over the post on a temporary basis with immediate effect.
