Norwegian cuts 15% off US flights in St Patrick’s Day flash sale

A flash sale cutting 15% off US flights from six airports in the UK and Ireland is being run by budget carrier Norwegian to coincide with St Patrick’s Day.

The discount will be calculated on ‘net’ fares, excluding taxes and charges, meaning transatlantic fares are available starting at £134 one way from the UK and €117 from Ireland.

The reduced rates are available until 10.59pm on Sunday night across 16 transatlantic routes.

They include Gatwick to New York, Boston, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Oakland-San Francisco and Los Angeles; Edinburgh and Belfast to Stewart international airport (New York) and Providence airport (Boston); as well as flights from Edinburgh to Bradley international airport (New England).

Discounts are also available on new transatlantic flights from Cork, Shannon and Dublin to the US east coast.

Norwegian chief commercial officer, Thomas Ramdahl, said: “With our St Patrick’s Day sale passengers won’t need the ‘luck of the Irish’ to bag a bargain flight to the USA.

“With further savings on 16 transatlantic routes from the UK and Ireland, Norwegian are continuing to make US travel even more affordable for thousands of British and Irish passengers.”
