Neil Herbert to leave Fred Olsen after less than a year

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines head of sales Neil Herbert has quit after little over a year.

He is standing down with immediate effect for personal reasons, the cruise line said.

A replacement will be sought “in due course”.

Herbert joined the company in January 2016, with overall responsibility for managing Fred Olsen’s UK Sales teams, as well as developing and growing UK travel trade relations.

Sales and marketing director, Justin Stanton, appointed recently as part of a shake up in senior management, said: “I would like to thank Neil for his contribution to the business during his time with Fred Olsen Cruise Lines.

“Our support for our trade partners has grown significantly as a result of Neil’s insight and input, and we will continue to develop this as a priority across Fred Olsen. We wish Neil every success with his future plans.”

Stanton will work closely with the sales management team in supporting agents and trade partners.

Kate Wooldridge will continue to oversee the trade support and sales systems teams, in her capacity as sales services and communications manager.
