Tui Cruises sales director Mike Schwanke is moving within the travel group in Germany to jointly head accommodation arm Robinson Club.

He will jointly manage the quality for premium club resort holidays with managing director Bernd Mäser.

The Tui subsidiary has announced expansion by opening new clubs in Thailand and the Maldives this year to tap additional target groups.

Schwanke will be in charge of marketing and sales and operations while Mäser, who joined the company’s management team in 2015, is responsible for finance, legal, IT, technology, purchasing, communications, HR and project development.

Thomas Pietzka, managing director of Tui Hotels & Resorts, said:
“We are delighted to have recruited Mike Schwanke, a committed and experienced manager from Tui Group, who will push Robinson’s growth path further ahead.

“He will create further stimuli for our premium club holiday brand with his digital marketing and brand management expertise and the experience he has gained in the rapidly growing cruise market.”
