EasyJet started the new year with an 11% boost in passenger carryings.
The budget airline flew more than 4.7 million passengers in January against 4.3 million the same month in 2016.
The load factor was up by 1.2 percentage points to 86.2%.
The January result means that easyJet’s annual rolling carryings rose by 6.9% to almost 75 million with the load factor almost static at 91.5%.
