G Adventures has acquired the Swan Hellenic cruise brand, formerly owned by All Leisure Group.
Swan Hellenic is the third All Leisure brand picked up by G Adventures, following its acquisition of escorted touring operators Travelsphere and Just You following All Leisure’s failure in January.
G Adventures confirmed the acquisition from All Leisure’s administrators Grant Thornton for an undisclosed sum covered the Swan Hellenic brand and intellectual property, but did not include Swan Hellenic’s single ship, Minerva, which had been leased and returned to its owners.
John Warner, vice-president of global sales for G Adventures, said: “We know how beloved Swan Hellenic is to its loyal customer base and respect it has in the British travel community. Our long-term aim is to re-launch Swan Hellenic and re-establish the award-winning values that make it so well-loved.”
G Adventures plans to restart the operation of Swan Hellenic in 2018. Itineraries will be announced this summer.
