Mosquito Coast is a (loosely) travel-themed bar on Hoogpoort. The terrace is fantastic. It does good food and a nice mojito, and the toilets are decorated with travel memorabilia. There's a branch of travel agent Connections right in the lobby - not sure whether it's deliberate or not.
Apparently it had something to do with executions many years ago - hangings either took place there or the condemned waited there. Now it's cosy, has a good beer list and is full of singing belgians.
