British Airways are expensive say Ryanair

JUST a day after winning a high profile court case against British Airways, low cost airline Ryanair has taken out advertisements in several national newspapers claiming once again that BA is expensive.

The adverts say “BA are expensive ­– it’s official. The High Court says so!” and claim Ryanair is “at least three times less expensive than BA” when comparing mid-week return fares.

British Airways had sued Ryanair because it ran a series of adverts comparing mid-week airfares between the two airlines. Mr Justice Jacob yesterday ruled the advertisements were “honest comparative advertising.”
