Tom Allen leaves Cadogan

Cadogan Holidays has announced managing director Tom Allen is leaving the company after three years in the job.

According to the company, Allen has left to ‘pursue other personal interests’. His successor, former ResortHoppa.com managing director Stephen Rhodes, takes up the role from March 2.

Allen was appointed managing director of Cadogan Holidays in April 2006 – a year before the company started legal proceedings against Allen’s predecessor Gary David. Details of the case were never revealed, but a ‘substantial’ out of court settlement was reached in 2007.

Allen then steered the company through a major restructure of its senior management and product and commercial teams in April of last year.

Iain May,  chief executive of Bland Group Resources, the holding company for Cadogan’s parent company Bland Group, told staff: “Tom has made a significant contribution to our business in a period of significant change. Since taking over at a very difficult time in the company’s history he has recruited a new management team, revamped the product to reflect changing consumer needs, and overseen the implementation of new operational systems and a new website. We wish him all the best for the future.”
