The La Manga Club in Spain has been placed into voluntary administration with debts of €97 million.
The move was made by the Spanish resort’s owners MED Group who claim it is still being run as normal as they attempt to find new funding for the resort which has three golf clubs and 28 tennis courts.
Problems arose when the credit crunch left owners unable to refinance the debts.
