Traveltek is aiming to almost double its sales team by the end of the year, with the creation of three new account executive positions to join its existing sales team of four.

One executive will be appointed to each of the three regions of London and the south, the midlands and the north, and the north-east and Scotland. The seven-strong team will be headed up by sales director Frank Docherty.

The company has also announced the appointment of Julia Shapchanskaya as international business development manager.

Traveltek managing director Kenny Picken said: “Frank’s team has excelled in their sales targets and with a big increase in the number of clients, the principle role of the new account managers will be to develop and maintain regular client visits, provide product update advice and general account management of all Traveltek clients, who deserve the highest attention.

“We hope that by expanding the team we’ll continue to offer the best of breed internet products together with market-leading customer service."

He added: "We will also be making announcements on some very significant client wins and new product launches, so we really need the team in place before the end of the year.”
