Triton accesses 40,000 additional hotels with new deal

(17 November 2008)

Triton Travel Group members will be able to access 40,000 additional hotels, apartments and villas following a deal signed with online travel wholesaler Chase International.

The additional rooms, which will be available via the TritonRooms portal, mean Triton now has more than 100,000 accommodation units on its books. It will also fill a gap in US product, said Global Travel Group operations director Andy Claridge.

Claridge said: “We at Triton are embracing the belief, that now, more than ever, the key to our success is based on the four important factors of availability, price, technology and service.

“The new agreement will provide Triton members with in excess of 40,000 new worldwide hotels, with a huge range of products in the UK and worldwide. It also provides an extensive offering in the Americas, which until now has been missing from our portfolio."

Chase International founder and chief executive Darryl Ismail said: “In my opinion, both companies share similar values and the belief that the strong partnership and investment in technology are essential for growth.”
