Two departing flights operated by XL Leisure Group from East Midlands airport today were cancelled.

A spokesman said any customers lined up for XL Leisure Group holidays and flights from East Midlands airport were being advised to make alternative arrangements. XL has 14 flights a week from East Midlands airport. they are:

• Monday: Corfu, Lanzarote
• Tuesday: Palma, Heraklion
• Wednesday: Rhodes, Larnaca, Sharm el-Sheikh
• Thursday: Lanzarote
• Friday: Kavalla/Skiathos, Tenerife
• Saturday: Palma, Sharm el-Sheikh
• Sunday: Kefalonia, Zakynthos

Meanwhile, a helpline for passengers who have booked holidays or flights with XL Leisure Group and its subsidiaries has been set up by the administrators, Kroll.  UK customers are advised to call 0800 068 8991 and overseas customers should call +44 020 8242 4783.

The Civil Aviation Authority has also published information about XL Leisure Group on www.atol.org.uk and has established an emergency helpline - +44 208 242 4783 – for their customers who are in distress.
