Kaleidoscope to sell UK breaks after Hilton deal

(10 September 2008)

Kaleidoscope Travel Group is selling UK holidays for the first time after signing a deal with Hilton Hotels.

The parent company of Travelsphere, Page & Moy and Just You will sell UK leisure breaks featuring the full range of Hilton family hotels through its brochures and online.

KTG group marketing director Brian Curran said: "This is a key milestone for the group in developing a more complete leisure offering for our customers. We are in a strong position to further develop opportunities with partners."

The move is part of Hilton Hotels' strategy to work with third parties to extend its distribution. The hotel group has recently added its Hilton Garden Inn and Doubletree by hilton brands to the UK market. Leisure marketing director David Black said: "Leisure is a key focus for us because we have 75 hotels with a lot of spare capacity at the weekend. In this economic climate it becomes even more important to reach as many customers as possible."
