UK travellers could be taking their holidays on the moon by 2033, predicts a survey of 1000 travel agents by Holiday Extras.
The poll commissioned to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the company found that a third of agents predicted the moon as the next hot holiday destination.
Of those agents surveyed 70% said the industry had changed over the past 25 years while a quarter thought it had improved. Over half of agents (58%) said the biggest change was the growth in online sales.
Its survey also asked 1000 consumers about their views and found 71% were booking their holiday online while 25% were through an agent.
