ACE launches online training courses during National Cruise Week

(09 September 2008)

The Association of Cruise Experts has launched five new online training courses for the trade during the first National Cruise Week.

The training courses went live this week and cover subjects from health and safety at sea, deck plans, to the environment and disabled access and go towards agent accreditation.

Business development director Andy Harmer said: "These are the most indepth modules we have ever offered to help agents be seen as cruise experts."

He said they were based on helping customers advice customers on specific issues, such as how green certain cruiseships and what they do to protect the environment.

Currently 3,500 cruise agents are working towards gaining ACE accreditation, compared to 180 two years ago.
