Peter Traynor has joined Collette Worldwide Holidays as its new general manager.

Traynor joins the escorted tours specialist after spending three years running his own consultancy advising Saga and Beachcomber Tours. Before that he spent 21 years working for the Globus/Cosmos group overseeing brands including Cosmos Tourama and Distant Dreams.

Traynor said: “I’ve noted Collette’s success in growing their business within the groups’ market during the last few years.

“I’m delighted to be joining them and the aim now is to use my experience to focus on growing business through the trade, by heightening travel agents’ awareness of the high level of product and service which Collette provides to them and their customers.”
