Chichester University is offering their foundation musical theatre students placements with Butlins.
The scheme will start in September 2009 with Butlins in Bognor Regis, Sussex planning to take around 50 students and give them hands on experience in the industry.
The students will be placed with an experienced Redcoat and given extensive training in customer services, entertainment practices and event management.
This will give the students a range of skills that can be transferred from the travel, leisure and entertainment industries.
Both parties are hoping that the scheme will strengthen the local community and skills of the younger generation.
Famous former Redcoats include Michael Barrymore, singer 'H' from Steps and TV presenter Des O'Connor.
